CC2C #3

It's week #3 at Compendium of Curiosities Vol.2 Challenge where page 46 of Tim's book has this week's theme - Marbled Stains.  I have to admit that this technique was frustrating until I started to try it with something other than a tag.  My collage is done using the technique on specialty stamping paper which gave me an effect I liked better.  On the main piece, I used 2 blues and a green, and then I did another piece with all the reds and hand cut that piece into hearts. I added a doodle-embellished handwritten word along with other doodling and added my background piece to a vintage dictionary page and corrugated cardboard.

Looks fabulous!!! Love that you used a different color of the marbled stains in your heart embellishment.

Hello Penny
Once again you have created a lovely piece of work, your marbling adds movement to the card, and your three little symbolic hearts connect so well to your sentiment... which I am so envious that it is handwritten...
Gosh I wish I was able to write so well; it adds a wonderful focus.
Smiles:)

Beautiful collage. A light bulb went off while reading your post. I just finished my backgrounds using manila tags. While I am ok with the result, I do not feel like mine look a lot like marbling. Your collage does mimic marbling quite nicely. I have to also add that your blog background appears marbled too. How fun. Have a great night!

A gorgeous piece of work Penny - the colours work so well together and I love your handwritten sentiment.

I have not had much luck with this technique so I will take your tip and try it on some specialist card instead.

Another beauty from you, Penny! Once again, your eye for composition is just fabulous, and you did such a great job with the marbled stain technique.

I agree- the specialty stamping paper works great, and I love how it has such a velvety finish.

Bravo-- as always!!!
