Distress Inks.......some of my absolute favorites and they just happen to be the theme of this week's
Grungy Monday Challenge inspired by all things
Tim Holtz. I tried a new to me technique of Tim's of first stamping on my embossing folder with pumice DI and a Reflections text stamp and then Cuttlebug embossed the paper. I rubbed the embossed areas with more DI in tumbled glass and bundled sage. The embossed panel is layered onto a background panel of my old reliable go-to technique of wrinkle-free distress using the same 2 colors. Finally, I inked my edges with more pumice stone. These inks are so versatile!! Image and text bits: Paper Whimsy, stamp: Stampers Anonymous

Wonderful piece and what a sweet image.
Absolutely beautiful Penny. I love the technique you have used but have not seen these embossing folders before - a must have I think!
What shines is that you take this challenge on but make it very much 100% Penny.
Adorable vintage artwork at its best.

THis is a technique I need to play with more! Yours came out stunningly! An yes, I agree with Jennie, that is a must have folder--Cuttlebug you say? Hmmm.
How sweet is this?! I love the subtle way you used those Distress Inks, Penny, and the imagery is just darling. Isn't the stamped embossing folder technique cool? You did a beautiful job, and as always, made some really Grungy Monday magic!
