The Stampsmith Challenge

The Stampsmith Challenge is a new one for me, but I have long been familiar with their stamps because they have photo style stamps - one of my favorite types. I have been wanting to participate in one of their challenges and made this project for the blue and brown theme. My image is of the Romanov daughters (the "From Russia with Love" plate), stamped on glossy cardstock, cut out and layered onto a piece of Russian book text - I have absolutely no idea what it says! I also stamped a book cover stamp (Tim Holtz-Stampers Anonymous) onto chipboard and cut out a window and added corrugated cardstock underneath it for more depth. The lace piece started out white, but fit much better once dyed with faded jeans and chipped sapphire DI and given touches with a pale gold leafing pen.

Hi Penny, the deep blue is gorgeous, and what a great idea to make deep into the image, a realy beautiful piece of art. Big hug from Janine

Hi Penny. I was checking out TSSC for new entries and when I saw this I said to myself "Penny has joined in" - I just new it was your besautiful work. That stamp is so realistic I actually assumed it was a book cover and the girls were made for this style of project. Thrilled you joined in and thrilled at your artwork.
Next challenge is 1st April.
Good Luck with the Prize Draw becausee as we know, a girl can never have enough photo real stamps.
Wishes
Lynne
