Compendium of Curiosities #29

I can't believe we're up to technique #29 at Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge! This time it's weathered wood grunge. A fun technique to try which I actually tried several times to get the color I wanted. Paint sure does clog up your sandpaper! Can't say any more.....not allowed to reveal any book details.... My grunge board piece is added to a tag with a wrinkle-free distress background, tissue tape, random paper scraps, a pondering little boy from Lisa's Altered Art, and stamps from Fontworks.

Gorgeous!! Love the way you did the label - the color is fantastic. I had a hard time with the sanding too. I never have much luck with getting the paint off!

Now you have me wondering if I have that image from LAA....hmmmm...need to go check!

I absolutely love your art! This is exquisite - the technique, the collage of elements, the whole feel. And yes, sandpaper is wimpy when faced with paint!

Your wood grunge piece is excellent! I love that you cut it use just a piece..I just couldn't bear to, and had to use the whole panel! And yes, that was the step that did me in a bit too.

Penny, this is darling! I love that little guy, and you've created such a perfect vintage home for him. The weathered wood piece looks great and suits the design so well, and the soft blue background is just right for that little boy. Great job!
