The Inventor's Notebook

I am so excited to share this project with you! When Gingersnap Creations decided to focus on Steampunk for the month of July, this idea was what came into my head to create and I can finally share it. I really enjoy playing with altered books, but do you ever feel guilty about cutting into a book and making it a work of art? I have come up with a way to make a faux version using 7Gypsies bookboard covers. If you've been a reader of my blog, you may remember my French notebook (HERE) that is done similarly. My favorite part of this project is that the entire book is a niche and when you open the door....

...you can see the inventor! I'm also sharing with you how to make this project - check out my tutorial on today's post at Gingersnap Creations HERE. If you make a version of my niche book, let me know because I'd love to see it!

Your niche books are wonderful. I love the gears on the one you posted. It reminds me of wheels turning in the head, inventions, creations and mystery. Just great!
