Gingersnap Creations Chestnut Theme Challenge

The theme for this week's chestnut challenge at Gingersnap Creations is "cowboys and cowgirls". I really like starting a project with a technique and for this tag I've used a Technique Junkies one called "faux denim". It gave me a wonderful piece that I diecut into a label shape and built a tag around. All the stamped images are from the Oxford Impressions Cowgirl Blues set. I just loved the photo stamp of the little cowgirl - she definitely looks like she has the blues! Another fun thing on this tag is my dyed ribbons - I used white seam binding, wet it, and then used distress inks - faded jeans and chipped sapphire on one, and antique linen and tea dye on another. Such an easy way to customize the colors of your ribbon. Show off your cowboys and cowgirls by adding your project to the GC blog post HERE - the challenge is open until May 29th.
