Ready-Steady-STAMP! Challenge 5

The RSS challenge was to use the following ingredients: 1.Flowers and butterflies, 2.Green, 3.Buttons, 4.PVA resist technique, and 5.Lace. I started with one of the new sanded background image collage sheets from Paper Whimsy and used the PVA resist technique on the background. I was excited to try this because I had read the article in a previous Craft Stamper and had even bought Glazing Liquid to use after reading it. I used the plain, clear liquid over the image to allow me to ink the background while protecting the image color (worked great!), then stamped the flowers (SmART works - a local Maine company) and painted them with glazing medium mixed with Perfect Pearls. I used green Distress Inks to rub over the background and gently wiped over the painted parts. The other fun part was making the butterflies using an Elusive Images stamp that I stamped on paper adhered to grungepaper - still allows them to be shaped and dimensional, but the white paper makes the inks brighter. My buttons are clear ones that I adhered to stamped paper using another Elusive Images stamp.
