Here's my 4x4 for this week's
Compendium of Curiosities Challenge where the technique is Alcohol Ink Splatter. I know that we're not supposed to say how the technique is done, but I just have to ask if anyone who tried this got frostbitten fingers? Maybe it was just me and my desire to perfect a technique, but I just have to say....OUCH! So if I've got you curious about this technique, check page 52 of Tim's book ;-) Quote stamp: Donna Downey for Unity Stamps.

Holy cats, Penny, this is spectacular! You made an amazing choice with that color palette-- the bright tones look great on their own *and* when they blend together! I love the powerful sentiment and the way you used both background stamping and dimensional text for the words. That's a great and really effective technique. You rocked the alcohol ink splatter, too!
I did indeed get very cold fingers before I realized I could use my Copic air compressor without a marker in it and get the same effect without needing mittens. By then, though, I'd already lost the feeling in my thumb! :-)
Ooh I love your background, so vivid and bright.
Great card with a great quote :)
Terrific splattings, love it Penny. Congratulations on the post below. Annette x
Ooo, I really like this, Penny! Gorgeous!
Wow! You got an awesome splatter effect!! You got such nice coverage! Not only did I get frostbitten fingers; at one point I thought the can was about to explode!! It started making all these weird ticking sounds (and I'm not a stranger to compressed air..so believe me--it was weird)
WOW! Such a blast of colour and the splatters are wonderful. Really is an "artful" card. Lynne x (have a great week)
